CLASS ACTIONS
Flo Fertility App Class Action Investigation
Collette Parsons Corrin LLP has commenced a proposed class action against the operators of the Flo Fertility App on behalf of Canadian users of the App. We are advancing this case in the Supreme Court of British Colombia as part of a consortium with law firms in Ontario and Quebec.
In early 2021 Flo was required by the United States Federal Trade Commission to notify its users that it failed to protect the private health information of millions of women. The FTC’s investigation found that the Flo App was sharing data with third parties, including Google and Facebook, in direct contravention of Flo’s privacy policy and its promise to users to not disclose their information.
Flo is one of the leading ovulation tracking apps in the world with over 100 million users. Flo users record extremely personal information on the App, including information about their menstrual cycles and sexual activity.
If you are a Canadian resident and would like more information about being included as a member of the proposed class action please register by filling in the following form and we will keep you up to date on the case as it progresses.
